Thankfully, the North Star pub next door was showing the match and they have a television on their outdoor patio so we could enjoy the game and the sunshine/warmth!
It was a great match, and probably the first tennis match that I have watched from beginning to end. I'm proud for Britain that Andy Murray from Scotland won a title, the first men's singles championship title at Wimbledon since 1936 (the year that Gone With The Wind was published - thank you colour commentator).
Novak Djokovic didn't stand a chance!
Just another memory for the book!
