My Uncle James and Aunt Susan for being my first official visitors in London! On Saturday, October 6th I spent the day enjoying a nice walk along the South Bank, eating a tasty lunch at Giraffe, and taking a boat ride down the Thames River. It was a beautiful day, no rain clouds in sight! The boat ride was a great way to see all of the developments along the Thames River, as well as the classic tourist sights. I must say I really enjoyed going under Tower Bridge!
I also spotted Shakespeare's Globe, a reconstruction of his original Globe Theatre built in 1997.
Further along the Thames towards Greenwich is high end real estate, similar to the Lakeshore developments in Toronto. The are flats that sell for millions of Great British Pounds, that Londoners buy to live in Monday thru Friday, and escape from on the weekends.
Maybe one day I'll own one of those flats!
